Highlighted Project
Founder of startup called “Satna Baazar”
I founded a startup called “Satna Baazar,” focusing on a hyperlocal C to C business model, inspired by the vocal to local campaign. Our project aimed to provide local businesses with an online platform to showcase their products and reach more customers in the hyperlocal area, ultimately boosting their sales. The idea was a blend of Zomato and Amazon but on a hyperlocal scale.
As the founder, my responsibilities included developing the website and leading the web-based app development. I supervised a team of 5 talented individuals in bringing Satna Baazar to life. Beyond the technical aspects, I also managed product cataloging for each business and successfully onboarded several enterprises for the launch. Additionally, I collaborated with a marketing firm to devise an effective marketing strategy.
Unfortunately, we faced challenges soon after the launch. Reliance’s JioMart entered the area, altering the price dynamics and creating tough competition. Since we lacked angel investors, sustaining the project solely based on turnover with no profit became difficult. As a result, the team started losing hope, leading to a breakdown in the project’s hierarchy. Despite the setback, the experience taught me valuable lessons in entrepreneurship and resilience.
